Summary

I’ve been looking forward to this model for a while now. At first I wasn’t very sure what I wanted to do with it but eventually decided to try and mimic certain stylings from the Windfury Harpy in Hearthstone.

I knew I could get the skin down decently but I wanted to push the highlights and shadows a bit more than I have on previous models. I also wasn’t sure how to get the bluish highlights on the feathers and hair, but the half glaze worked out pretty well.

What I Learned/What I’d Do Differently

I think if I did this again I’d reduce the width of the highlights on the hair, making them smaller. I’d also try and add in more transition steps from the black up to blue on the wings, maybe even the hair too.

Something else I may toy with is pushing the highlights and shadows more on the skin. Not sure on that one though.
